Description: This image is identified here as Joseph being brought before Pharaoh to interpret his dreams. The subject is unclear because the original was destroyed when a door was added. This image is based on the preserved copy at Oxford. Other identifications include Scene from the life of Solomon,the most likely subject due to its place in the sequence of images around it, and Judgement of Moses on the sons of Levi. By Pietro Santi Bartoli (1635-1700) after Raphael (1483-1520), published by Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi (1627-1691). The text is a shortening of Genesis 41:14.
