Description: This image depicts Moses obeying God by stretching his hand over the sea so that the waters could comeback over the Egyptians along with their chariots and horsemen. The men dressed in armor and on horseback depict the Egyptians, and the men standing behind Moses depict the Israelites. By Pietro Santi Bartoli (1635-1700) after Raphael (1483-1520), published by Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi (1627-1691). The text is a summation of Exodus 14:26-28.
