Among the text are the names of those involed: Pietro Santi Bartoli (1635-1700) the engraver, here written as Petrus Sanctus Bartol; Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino (1483-1520), known as Raphael, upon whose Vatican stanze and Sistine Chapel tapestries the images contained originate, here written as Raphael Sanctio Vrbin; and Giovanni Giacomo de Rossi (1627-1691) the publisher and to whom the book is dedicated, here identified as Io Iacobus de Rubeis one of the variant names he used.
